FAQs
Frequently Asked Questions
1. What services do you offer?
We specialize in a full range of services across painting, custom built-ins, renovation, and remodeling. Whether it’s refreshing an exterior, creating custom cabinetry, or executing a full interior transformation, our team handles both structural craftsmanship and finishing to deliver complete, polished results.
2. What payment methods do you accept?
We make payment convenient by accepting:
Checks
Bank transfers (ACH)
Venmo
If you prefer another method (credit card, etc.), let us know — we’ll see if we can accommodate it.
3. How far in advance should I book a project?
For best results and scheduling flexibility, we recommend booking at least one month in advance. This gives us enough time for planning, material procurement, and coordinating with your schedule.
However, we also accept emergency or rush calls, depending on our availability and current job load. Just reach out, and we’ll see if we can fit your project in.
4. What warranties or guarantees do you provide?
We stand behind our workmanship. Here’s how our guarantees and paint warranties typically break down:
3-Year Workmanship Guarantee (ours) — We guarantee that the work we perform (e.g. preparation, application, finishing) will hold up for three years under normal conditions.
Manufacturer Paint Warranties — When we use premium brands like Benjamin Moore, Sherwin-Williams, or PPG, their warranties may apply (product-only, not labor). Below is a summary:

⚠️ Important: All manufacturer warranties typically exclude labor, require proper surface prep, and are non-transferable — that means if you sell the property, the warranty may not carry over. Also, damage caused by structural issues, water infiltration, or misuse is not covered by these warranties.
5. How far do you travel to take on a job?
We serve all of Vermont, with flexibility depending on the scale of the project. For distant locations, there may be additional travel or lodging costs, and we generally prefer projects that will last at least one month or more when traveling further. This ensures the investment in travel is justified and the project is worth the logistics.
6. What should I do to prepare before your team arrives?
To help streamline the process and protect your home, we recommend:
Moving furniture or valuables away from walls where work will occur
Clearing walkways and ensuring safe access to work areas
Trimming vegetation near exterior surfaces if overgrown
Parking availability close to the work zone
Communicating any pets or special conditions (e.g. fragile items, allergies)
We will also discuss all these prep steps during our design consultation or project planning.
7. How long will my project take?
The timeline depends on the scope, size, and complexity of the job, as well as weather (for exterior work). After an initial consultation and site evaluation, we’ll provide a detailed schedule. We always aim to work efficiently and without sacrificing quality.
8. What happens if weather delays the exterior work?
Outdoor projects are subject to weather conditions. Rain, high humidity, extreme cold, or heat can affect drying times, adhesion, or safety. If delays occur, we’ll reschedule work responsibly, communicate with you promptly, and adjust the project timeline accordingly.
9. Do you offer free estimates or consultations?
Yes! We provide free consultations and estimates. During that meeting, we’ll review your project, take measurements, discuss materials, and provide a clear cost estimate and timeline. There’s no obligation on your part.
